- Sales and Development
- The Sales and Development associate works with the Sales Director and the West Coast Sales Manager to manage and build upon existing sales channels, while also actively expanding new business. Applicants should have at least one year of full-time sales experience in a team setting and have work experience or a passionate interest in the field of design. Entrepreneurial, creative, detail oriented self-starters are welcome.
This position is located at our Brooklyn, New York studio.
The position includes the following:
Manage trade outreach program.
Routinely arrange and deliver product/brand presentations with key firms.
Liaison for architecture, development, interior design and direct sales, seeing orders from initial contact to installation.
Maintain and build upon existing trade relationships.
Manage relationships with retail partners and secure new key accounts.
Coordinate logistics with customers and providers.
Work with the design team to research, source and price materials for custom projects.
Provide assistance with external online sales platforms.
Help to drive marketing strategies.
General email, quoting, invoicing and other administrative duties.
Host studio visits and help manage studio calendar.
Represent Bower at various trade shows.
Attend design events, functions and openings.
Occasional travel may be required.
- Summer Design Internship
- The Design Intern works with the design team to develop new product concepts, refine existing ideas and create drawings for production and special projects. This position is focused on mirror products, but furniture, lighting and home accessories will also play a part.
The intern will gain experience with bringing products from ideation to market, trade shows, design licensing, material research, various methods of production and interior design. Applicants should be proficient in SketchUp, Fusion, Rhino and/or SolidWorks and applicable rendering software. Knowledge of AutoCAD is not required, however it is a plus. Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign experience is also a plus.
Although scheduling is flexible, this position would ideally begin in May or June and would last 3-5 months, 4-5 days per week depending on availability.
